I’ve been lucky enough to work with exceptional people in the media world: I look, listen and absorb. I’ve recently finished a spell as editorial director of Bauer Specialist Media, a division of Britain’s biggest magazine company, which publishes some 40 magazines and newspapers and 30 websites in markets such as photography, cars, gardening, motorcycles .

I’ve worked on the launch and development of more than 30 magazines and newspapers in Britain, France, the USA and Australia. The titles include the surfing market leader Tracks in Sydney, the million-selling Motor Trend in Los Angeles, FHM in Paris, and magazines such as Nursing Times, Living France and Garden News in England. I’ve edited car and motorcycle publications, including Motor Cycle News, Performance Car and Bike.

I’ve written on subjects such as MotoGP (the 2-wheeled equivalent of Formula 1), language-learning and business for the Guardian, the Observer, the Independent and the Times, and I write for the motorsports website, crash.net. I’ve coached for PMA Media Training in London, judged the PPA (Periodical Publishers Association) editorial awards, and tutored for the FIPP (International Federation of the Periodical Press) Magazine Management Certificate.
